From a Few Campsites to a Community.
In 2013, a handful of people started meeting at campouts to share skills, swap stories, and spend time together. The gatherings grew. The friendships grew. The idea grew. What started as informal campouts became the Midwest Preparedness Project — a community built around practical preparedness, self-reliance, family, faith, fellowship, and service. Today, thousands of families have crossed through MPP events. But the mission remains simple: get good people together, teach useful things, build relationships, and help one another become more capable.

Why Patrick Built MPP.
MPP started with a simple idea: "What if we could get a bunch of good people together in one place?"
What Patrick saw in those early campouts was bigger than a weekend of camping. People were teaching each other. Families were helping each other. Skills were being shared. Friendships were forming. And people who had never met before were discovering that they had more in common than they realized.
That became MPP.
Today, Patrick serves as President and Director of Operations, but the mission is still the same: get people together, teach practical skills, build community, and leave something worth handing to the next generation.
That's Okay.
